The short version How Trueform came about
Chris started on the tools in the early 2000s and has spent most of his career renovating and restoring homes between Palm Beach and St Ives. Fifteen of those years were in a partnership, which he has since left.
Trueform is what he wanted to build after that: a small outfit that takes on a few renovations a year, keeps the same trades on every job, and doesn't hand clients off to a project manager. If you ring the number on this site, Chris answers it or calls you back.
The work sits in three parts. High-end residential renovation, heritage and character restoration, and ongoing maintenance for the houses he has already worked on.

01 He quotes what he'll build The person walking your house is the person running the job. Nothing gets promised by someone who won't be there.
02 One or two jobs at a time Trueform doesn't run six sites at once. It's the only way one builder can be on each of them properly.
03 Allowances stated, not buried Where a price genuinely can't be fixed — rot, footings, council conditions — you see the allowance and the reasoning.
04 He stays after handover Most past clients keep Chris on for maintenance. It's a decent test of whether the work was any good.

Chris uses a fixed group of subcontractors he has worked with for years — chippies, tilers, sparkies, plumbers, renderers. Nobody new turns up to learn on your house. It's slower to grow that way and it's the reason the finish holds up.
